I am wondering about the ending in the movie ‘Prestige’?
In the end the ‘Great Dantone’ gets shot but as the movie is fading away it shows a duplicate of him in the trick water tank. Does that mean that he is still alive and was just holding his breath or was that just one of his duplicates from multiple times in the transporter?
The many Dantons are dead, drowned for each time he performed the New Transported Man show. It is never explained if the duplicate is the one transported or the one that stays on the platform. I’d suspect that the original is the one that stays put and the duplicate is created in the other location.
